OUR SERVICES
Our services include, but are not limited to milling, turning, and general machining, general welding, fabrication, and assembling, industrial blasting and painting, fitting, repairs, and maintenance services.
Welding & Fabrication
NMFI offers a complete range of welding services, which include, but are not limited to the following;
- Aluminum welding
- Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)
- Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)
- Multi-process stick, TIG, MIG, flux-cored, submerged arc, and gouging weld services.
- Plasma cutting
- Welding Assembly
- Weldments (A weldment is the joining of two different metal pieces into one weldment assembly. In other words, a weldment is what is produced when different pieces of metal are welded together).
All of these services are conducted in-house from start to finish, utilizing our modern welding equipment, high-tech amp supplies, and skilled welders.
AWS Certified
The success of a welding project often comes down to the skillset behind the welder(s). That’s why our team comprises of AWS Certified Welders with years of industry experience.
To ensure that your parts are welded to meet your exact specifications, we ensure that our welders are well trained, experienced, and qualified. Our welders are also provided with modern welding equipment and organized welding stations.
Structural Steel Fabrication
NMFI proudly boasts years of experience in structural steel fabrication. Under this arm, NMFI offers services in fabrication and installation of steel foundation and frame.
Fabricating mild steel or low carbon steel is conducted using our proven arc welding processes: stick, TIG, and MIG techniques.
General Machining
NMFI offers a wide range of precision machining services, repairs, and produces mechanical parts, via the use of traditional lathes and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) technology. Our range of services include, but are not limited to the following;
- Milling
- Turning
- Manual Lathe / Machining
- Manual Milling
- Deep Hole Drilling
- Grinding
- Resurfacing of engine heads and valve seating
- Line boring for engine blocks
- Sawing
- Broaching
- Shaping
- Radial drilling
- Tapping
- Making of gears (Spur Gear, Helical Gear, Double Helical Gear, Bevel Gear, Spiral Bevel Gear, etc.)
- Assembly – these services often include the use of adhesives, hardware and press equipment.
More About Our General Machining Services
Milling
Milling is the machining process of using rotary cutters to remove material from a workpiece advancing (or feeding) in a direction at an angle with the axis of the tool. The milling process removes material by performing many separate, small cuts. This is accomplished by using a cutter with many teeth, spinning the cutter at high speed, or advancing the material through the cutter slowly.
We run machines that are capable of both rotating-workpiece operations (turning) and rotating-tool operations (namely milling and drilling). We have the capacity for your intricate, low volume, high quality precision pieces, as well as the mass production you are looking for.
Our specialties are within our exacting tolerances with unmatched quality control that ensures high deliverable rates.
We have the experience and expertise needed to produce parts using materials ranging from aluminum, alloy steel, copper, brass, iron, carbide and titanium.
Turning
Turning is a machining process in which a cutting tool, typically a non-rotary tool bit, describes a helical toolpath by moving more or less linearly while the workpiece rotates. The tool’s axes of movement may be literally a straight line, or they may be along some set of curves or angles, but they are essentially linear (in the nonmathematical sense).
The turning processes are typically carried out on a lathe, considered to be the oldest machine tools, and can be of four different types such as straight turning, taper turning, profiling or external grooving.
Those types of turning processes can produce various shapes of materials such as straight, conical, curved, or grooved workpiece. In general, turning uses simple single-point cutting tools. Each group of workpiece materials has an optimum set of tools angles which have been developed through the years.
Deep Hole Drilling
As technology and manufacturing processes evolve, NMFI developed into a dominant force in non-mag and stainless alloys, drilling complex components, and tools for the Oil and Gas industry, including sub-assemblies, mandrels, housings, pistons, and sub-sea components.
Our experienced gun drillers, machinists and engineering teams are capable of providing turn-key solutions within the high precision metal part industry.
Our customers count on our expertise and creativity to complete complex jobs that most shops would turn away.

Managing Director K & B EnterpriseOver the past ten years, I have had the pleasure of working with Nexus Machining & Fabrication Inc. on many custom fabrication projects where enclosures supplied by them were part of an overall solution put together for our local customers. The quality and timeliness have been excellent but what we really value is the responsiveness to our sometimes emerging requirements
